Abstract: During the last twenty years, the use of molecular markers, revealing polymorphism at the DNA level, has been playing an increasing part in zebrafish genetics studies. In this review, the molecular markers and genetic maps for zebrafish was introduced, the advantages and disadvantages of using these markers was discussed, and the polymorphism in zebrafish strains was described.
