Research Progress on Animal Models of Osteoarthritis

Abstract: There are plenty of animal models of osteoarthritis (OA). Researchers all over the world are trying to identify different pathogenic characteristics with different animal models. Focusing on primary OA and posttraumatic OA, this paper utilizes the genetically modified models and the experimental induction models to analyze their advantages and disadvantages, to support the research of the pathogenesis, the change and the process, and the outcomes of OA.
