Effect of Rhubarb Polysaccharide on Some Serum Lipid in Diabetic Mice Induced by Alloxcan

Abstract

Abstract: In order to study the Rhubarb polysaccharide （RP） and its effect on some serum lipid in diabetic mice induced by alloxcan. Serum TG、TC、LDL、HDL、SOD and polyamine in pancreas tissue were detected.The results showed that the levels of TG，TC and LDL and also the polyamine content in pancreas tissue were decreased, whereas the concentration of HDL and activity of superoxide dismutatase increased in RP treated mice. The results suggested that the Rhubarb polysaccharide could improve the situation of serum lipid in diabetic mice induced by alloxcan.
