Abstract: The model of cerebral local infarcts in rabbits were established by means of photochemical induction. The results showed that the successful rate of the models were 98%, the focal infarct area was 0.465±0.012 cm², the volume was 0.268±0.009 cm³,the infarct focus have showed typical pathological process of damage, exudation, inflammation. The rabbit models of cerebral local infarction established by photochemical induced methods were convenient, rapid and steady.
