Genotoxicity Effects of Passive Smoking on Wistar Rats

Abstract

Abstract: To explore the genotoxicity effects of passive smoking on Wistar rats,micronuclear test in polychromatic erythrocytes (PCEs) of bone marrow and sperm morphological test on Wistar rats were performed. The sperm malformation rate and the micronuclear rate in passive smoking groups were significantly higher than those in negative controls(P＜0.05). The results suggested that the passive smoking not only affects the body cell but also reproductive cells of Wistar rats.
