Differences on Care and Use of Laboratory Animals in Research Institutions between China and USA

Abstract

Abstract: With the globalization of biomedical and pharmaceutical research and development, the care and use of laboratory animals in research institutions, as an important component in biomedical research, are also facing the opportunities and challenges with the globalization. In USA, the care and use of laboratory animals program, especially animal welfare, are all very advanced and high standards comparing with China. In order to find related disadvantages, further to improving the program in China research institutions, this article will focus on the analysis of differences in the care and use of laboratory animals between China and USA research institutions.
