Application of Cynomolgus Monkey in Medical Science

Abstract

Abstract: Cynomolgus monkey is one species of non-human primates, whose structure of tissues, immunity, physiology and metabolism are very similar to those of human, so they have been the most important and ideal experimental animals. In this paper, recent progress and their applications in biomedical research such as nervous system, reproductive system, stem cells, malignant diseases and diabetes are mainly reviewed.
