This paper described the relationship between laboratory animal science and pharmaceutical industry. A varity of strains of laboratory animal have been used in research and development of new drugs, preclinical pharmcology and toxicity, and bioassay of some products. Therefore the standardized laboratory animals are essential for pharmaceutical industry.
