Abstract: "Two pathogenic vibrios separately isolated from the epidemic diarrhea disease of goldren hamster in Chengdu and Shanghai Institutes of Biological Products. These strains were demonstrated, through assays of phenotypical, biochemical and serological charaters, as vibrio cholerae non-OI. By Chinese serotyping system of vibrio cholerae non-OI(VBO), Chengdu strain was the serotype of VBO 32 and Shanghai strain was the serotype of VBO 92. Under electron microscopy, the flagella of chengdu strain has a terminal knob and it's appearance was related to the living condition of the strain. Shanghai strain has not show this uitrastructure. "
