ORIENT HAMSTER AND ITS ANTISCHISTOSOMA CHARACTERS

Abstract: Orient Hamster, Microtus fortis, is a wild rodent inhabited around Dongting Lake, Hunan Province. It was the only one species of rodents which resisted Schistosoma japanica infestation. Our work reveals that this hamster can raising and reproduce in the laboratory circumstance and either the captive wild Orient Hamster or the laboratory raised ones do have some characters of anti-Schistosoma infestation phenomenon
