"Laboratory Animal and Comparative Medicine" has been included in the list of journals following ICMJE standards

The International Medical Journal Editorial Board just included the Laboratory Animal and Comparative MedicineLACM on its "list of journals that follow the ICMJE recommended guidelines" (see: http://www.icmje.org/journals-following-the-icmje-recommendations). The internationalization and standards of academic publishing in this journal have now reached a significant development stage.

The International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) is a working group consisted of general medical journal editors of the British Medical Journal, World Health Organization Bulletin, JAMA Journal of the American Medical Association, New England Journal of Medicine, PLOS Medicine, The Lancet, as well as members of the National Library of Medicine and the World Association of Medical Editors in the United States, whose participants meet once a year, develop or update the 'Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals (ICMJE)'.

At present, the ICMJE standard has been recognized by the international biomedical journal publishing community as one of the most important research report and paper publication standards to be followed. It can be used to check whether research published in biomedical journals complies with the best practices and ethical standards in the implementation and reporting process, thereby helping authors, editors, peer reviews, and other personnel in the journal publishing process to create and disseminate more accurately and clearly repeatable and unbiased medical research papers, can also help mass media, patients and their families, and ordinary readers better understand the medical editing and publishing process.

Since 2020, the editorial department of Laboratory Animal and Comparative Medicine has organized and participated in the Chinese translation of the 2019, 2021, and 2022 versions of the ICMJE standards, making positive attempts to promote the standardization and international recognition of the publication of biomedical research reports and journals in our journal and even in China. The latest version of the ICMJE standard Chinese translation can be found in the PDF link below. Authors, editors, readers, and peer reviewers are kindly requested to download and learn from it. Our review and editing team will strive to adhere to this international standard, promote the standardization and international recognition of our published papers, and contribute to the high-quality development of experimental animal and comparative medical research in China.
