Abstract: Objective To develop the endometriosis model in the mice, and to investigate the methods of analyzing the ectopic endometrium using the fluorescent imaging. Methods Endometrial fragment obtained from the trans gene tic mice treated by Green Fluorescent Protein (GFP) and injected into the peritoneal cavity of C57BL/6 mice. These recipient mice were raised with water supplemented by E2 for three weeks. Then the mice were euthanized, and we observed the intensity of the GFP of the peritoneal cavity under fluorescence microscopy. Results The green fluorescence does exist in the peritoneal cavity of the mice and we have proved that the ectopic endometrium expressed the GFP by the immunohistochemistry. Conclusion The model developed by using the transgeneic mice expressing GFP would be available for exact evaluation of endometriotic lesions, which is prospective.
