Metastatic Animal Model for Prostate Cancer

Abstract: The of metastases is the main cause of death in patients with prostate cancer, and understanding the mechanisms of metastasis and exploring novel effective therapies depends on the availability and evaluation of a clinically relevant animal model for this disease. We systemically retrospected the methods, characteristic and development of myriads of metastatic animal models which have been established, and briefly introduced the application of new technique in the detection of micrometastasis formed in metastatic animal models.
