Abstract: In order to detect rodent coronavirus, a pair of PCR primers were designed according to the compared sequences of rodent coronavirus and SARS coronavirus. The primers derived from the specific and conservative N gene，RT-PCR method was established. Result of rodent RT-PCR amplification showed the amplified products of 148bp length； RT-PCR method of rodent coronavirus has been used to detect the samples. The rodent RT-PCR method is important to determine early rodent coronavirus and discriminate SARS coronavirus.
