Abstract: Glycohemoglobin HbAlc of diabetes rats was rapidly determined by capillary electrophoresis to investigate the change of HbAlc of diabetes rats treated with drugs. The results showed that capillary electrophoresis could rapidly and effectively separate glycohemoglobin from non-glycohemoglobin. HbAlc of diabetes group without treatment was significantly higher than those of control，aminoguanidine，tetram-ethylpyrajine and united treatment groups（P＜0.01）. There were no significant differ-ence among the treatment groups（P＞0.05）. It suggested that determination of HbAlc by capillary electrophoresis could be used as an indicator of therapeutic efficacy of dia-betes rats.
