Abstract: Two different types of artery canulation were established in piglets to study the time consumng blood losing, changing rate of body temperature, vital organ perfusion during canulation and deep hypothermia cardiopulmonary bypass. The results showed that the time consuming, blood losing in femoral artery canulating group were less than those in ascending aorta canulating group, and there were no differences between two groups in changing rate of body temperature, and vital organ perfusion under 80ml·kg-1·min-1 flow rate. Established cardiopulmonary bypass using modified femoral artery canulating method is a relatively simple mode,it appeared feasible to preserve thoracic-cardiac stability.
