Abstract: The radionuclide dynamic imaging method was applied to study acute renal failure induced by intramuscular injection with glyceryl alcohol in 15 dogs. The results showed that 0.5~6 hours after the injection the time taken for completely imaging of renes and the time for reaching peak level of radionuclide in ren were longer than those before the injec-tion(27.3±1.7 seconds vs 17.4± 1.8 seconds,P<0.01,264.1±18.4 seconds vs 152.4±18.1 seconds ,P<0.01,respectively), while the glomerular filtration rate(GFR) was less than that before the injection (23.5±11.4 ml/min vs 110.0±14.6 ml/min).
