Abstract: Tissue structure of ovary and oviduct in nine Tupaia glis was observed by light and electron - microscopy. The observation demonstrated that the structure examined has their characteristics compared to those of other mammalian as follws ： (1) the ovary capsule is in a state of pitting notch to its parenchyma, (2) the amount of primordial follicle is less and almost in signal rank , (3) its Zona pellucida is thicker, (4) atresic follicle formed from primary and secondary follicles are more,(5) interstitial gland are rare,and (6) there are ducts covered with simple columnar epithelium in medulla. The results may be used for classification of Tupaia glis based on the ovary and oviduct sturcture.
