Abstract: Some physiological and blood biochemical values in 3~10 month-old plateau pika (Ochotona curzoniae) were measured. The results showed that the blood pressure in plateau pika was similar to that in rabbit and guinea pig. The heart rate and respiratory rate were higher than those in rabbit, but lower than those in mouse. The oxygen consumption was higher than that in rabbit, rat and guinea pig,and similar to that in mouse. The serum levels of albumin and triglyceride were higher than those in rabbit and human, but the serum level of cholesterol was lower than that in rabbit and human.
