Abstract: The levels of trace elements in the blood, hair and major organs of the chronic hemor-rhagic anemia rats were assayed by the method of ICP. The results revealed that neither the iron level of the blood nor the iron level of the hair could indicate the general conditon of iron deficiency before the exhaustion of the iron reservoir in the body. And it is suggested that in addition to replenishing iron during the treatment of chronic hemorrhagic anemia, the elements such as manganese and nickel should also be supplemented.
