Abstract: "To establish the metastatic model of human gastric carcinoma, the histologically intact gastric adenocarcinoma specimens were implanted in the gastric walls of SCID mice. The results showed that the metastasis to the lymph nodes (10/10),livers (8/10) and lungs (4/10) occured 6 weeks after the implantation. These revealed that the orthotopic implantation of histologically intact carcinoma in SCID mice could give rise to high metastatic rate in short duration. "
