Abstract: The nystagmus of guinea pig were induced by using sinusodial pendular, rotatory and caloric stimulus test in this experiment. By electronystagmography, the sinusodial pendular nystagmus were recorded with it’s symmetrical distribution in left - right directions, the amplitude 2.8±0.4μV and the frequency 3.2±0.3/s ;In rotatory test, the nystagmus of accelerated, descended and sudden stoping stage were also recorded; In caloric test,0、10、20、30 and 45℃ water were used to stimulate the guinea pigs respectively, and the correlative nystagmus data were obtained. The both former reflect the function of bilateral semi -canal,but unilateral mainly. The results suggested that guinea pig was most sensitive to cold water, especially to ice water. This experiment provided reliable basis for experimental research on the vestibular function and structure in guinea pigs.
