Abstract: The microbiological quality control on laboratory animals was studied. The results showed that acetic peroxide,Xiao Du Lin，Jin An,glutaraldehyde，Xing Jie -er -mie and Bai Du Sa were effective germicidal agents. Acetic peroxide and glutaraldehyde was suitable for the sterilizing of barrier animal rooms before using, while Xiao Du Lin and Xing Jie - er - mie was suitable for maintaining the aseptic environment of barrier animal rooms. By adding in Jin An the drinking water could prevent and control the infection of P. aeruginosa and S. aureus. The drinking water acidified with HC1 had similar effect.
