Abstract: The transplantable hydrothoracic-ascitic fluid type lymphocytic leukemia L 845 model was from the spontaneous leukemia of a T 739 mouse transplanted successfully on syngenic mice.After 9 years of successive transplantation of L 845, the biological and pathological characteristics were found to be relatively stablized. All the T₇₃₉ mice inoculated i.p with the hydrothoracic or ascitic fluid of the leukemia produced ascite and the tumor cells can pass through peritoneal membrane and mesenteric lymph node, and spread to the mediastinum,100% of the inoculated mice can produce hydrothoracic fluid.No spontaneous disappearance was observed in tumor bearing mice. Besides, the efficacy of the 18 different kinds of anticancer drug were studied in the leukemia mice, all the drugs showed to have apparent therapeutic effects.
