To study the genetic characteristics of Zmu-1:DHP guinea pig,14 biochemical markers were analysed by electrophoretic method,and compared with those of the parent DHP strain. The results reveals that no polymorphism is showed on 10 loci in Zmu-1:DHP strain and 9 loci in DHP strain. Both strains manifest polymorphism on G-3-PD,G-6-PD,Es-6 and Es-8 loci,and GOT-1 locus in DHP strain is also polymorphic. There are a and

Three factors ,cytochalasin B (CB) pre-treatment,width of two electrodes and field strength of electric pulse (direct current)related to the parthenogenetic activation of rabbit eggs by electric stimulation were studied for nuclear transplantation. The results showed that the treatment of oocytes with 7.5 mg/L CB for 1 h followed by activation with electrical stimulation significantly improved the oocyte activation rate as compared with the oocytes without CB pre-treatment (79.4% vs 48. 1%,

The anatomy of cerebral vasculature of Mongolian gerbils was compared with those of hamsters and Sprague-Dawley rats through vascular casting method. The results verified the unique anatomical characteristics of cerebral vasculature of the mongolian gerbil that is lack of posterior communicating arteries connecting carotid and vertebro-basilar systems, resulting in an incomplete circle of Willis.

The relationship between the relative air humidity (RH) and methacholine (MCH)-induced airway reactivity was studied in sedated and ovalbumin-sensitized mice. The re-sults showed that the wheezing symptoms induced by MCH in lower RH groups were more severe than those in the higher RH groups. It is suggested that the air RH at 55%-75% is more suitable for this testing.

The patterns of G-,C-band and Ag-NORs in Zmu-1:DHP guinea pig were observed. The results showed that the G-banding pattern was varied in the numer and position as compared with those in other stocks of guinea pig. The C-banding pattern was similar to those in other mammals. The Ag-NORs were located on the terminals of the short arms,and were 8 in number in most marrow cells. The results suggested that the chromosome karyotype of Zmu-1:DHP guinea pig has varied from those of other stocks of guinea pig.

-induced hepatotoxicity were studied in male SD rats weighed 180 ±13g. The results showed:①in the acute CC1

-toxicity experiment,Jian-Xue-Bao added to diet for one month could partly protect the rat liver expressed by marked decrease of serum level of ALT,②in the experiment of liver cirrhosis induced by CCl4,Jian-Xue-Bao could partly protect the rat liver expressed by the significant reduction of serum level of laminin and the marked improvement of the pathological change in the pattern of serum amino acids and liver cirrhosis.It is suggested that Jian-Xue-Bao may have the protective effects against CC14-hepatotoxicity.
