XU Ping currently serves as the CEO, Technical Director and a professor of Shanghai Jihui Laboratory Animal Breeding Co., Ltd..

He has undertaken over 30 projects, including national key scientific and technological projects, science and technology support plan projects, national scientific research infrastructure platform projects, and Shanghai municipal scientific research plan projects. He has received four provincial and municipal science and technology progress awards and filed 15 patents of various types. He has served as the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Acta Laboratorium Animalis Scientia Sinica, Chinese Journal of Comparative Medicine, and as the Executive Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Laboratory Animal Science.
