LIU Enqi, with a Ph.D., is a professor and doctoral supervisor in Pathology and Pathophysiology, Genetics. He currently serves as the Director of the Experimental Animal Center/Department of Laboratory Animal Science at Xi'an Jiaotong University.

His research focuses on experimental studies in arteriosclerosis and lipid metabolism, animal embryonic development, and gene editing. He has led more than 10 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the National Key Technology Support Program. Using animal models, he has made significant advances in the study of human arteriosclerosis-related diseases and embryonic development, publishing over 100 important academic papers in international journals such as Circulation, J Am Soc Nephrol, J Pineal Res, Arterioscler Thromb Vasc Biol, and iScience.
