DING Yuqiang, with a Ph.D., is a Distinguished Professor at Fudan University, and Head of the Department of Laboratory Animal Science. He graduated from the Air Force Medical University, where he stayed on as faculty and obtained his master's and doctoral degrees. He was selected as a national-level candidate by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and has received the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars and a special government allowance from the State Council. He serves as the Chairman of the Neurotoxin Branch of the Chinese Neuroscience Society, Vice President of the Shanghai Laboratory Animal Science Association, and is on the editorial board of several international academic journals.

His primary research focus is on brain development, abnormalities in the monoaminergic neurotransmitter system, and their relationship with psychiatric disorders. He was named in the list of China's highly cited neuroscientists from 2014 to 2020 by Elsevier.
