• DAI Jiejie, male, Director and doctoral supervisor of the Tree Shrew Germplasm Resource Center at the Institute of Medical Biology, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences/Peking Union Medical College.

     

    He has successfully developed models for AIDS, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, and hepatitis A in monkeys, as well as models for HCV, hand-foot-mouth disease, and Parkinson's disease in tree shrews. As the leader of the Yunnan Province Tree Shrew Standardization Research and Human Disease Tree Shrew Model Creation Innovation Team, he pioneered the key techniques in tree shrew breeding, establishing China's largest tree shrew germplasm resource base. He has received 10 provincial-level Science and Technology Progress Awards, including the Yunnan Province Science and Technology Progress First Prize and two Second Prizes (ranked first), and the Yunnan Provincial Natural Science Award Second Prize, among others. He has published over 40 SCI papers and holds 11 national invention patents.
