WANG Jian, with a Ph.D., is a professor and doctoral supervisor in Pharmacology at Fudan University. He currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Shanghai Institute for Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Technologies (formerly Shanghai Family Planning Research Institute), Vice Director of the National Health Commission Key Laboratory of Contraceptive Devices, and Executive Director of the Committee on Safe Contraception under the Society of Maternal and Child Health Research.
His primary research focuses on the regulatory mechanisms of pregnancy establishment and maintenance, as well as the pathogenesis and intervention technologies of pathological pregnancies, such as recurrent miscarriages.
He has led more than 10 major national projects for new drug development, sub-projects of the National 973 Program, and the General Program of National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has published over 60 papers in SCI-indexed journals and has applied for and obtained 19 national invention patents, 3 utility model patents, and 2 international patents. He has received three second-class and two third-class provincial and ministerial-level scientific and technological achievement awards.
